Our goals are to grow in relationship to God and one another, to seek the lost and to serve the needy. We believe that God has transformed our lives and want to be a people who make a difference wherever we go and whatever we do.

The church was formed in April 2009 by a group of Christians attending St. John’s Church, Walmley. Initially it was anticipated that the new congregation would become a Fresh Expressions Anglican church, hence the original name Anglican Renewal Church (ARC). However, after months of negotiations with the Bishop of Aston, church members decided unanimously to form an independent church instead.
The fellowship met weekly at Mere Green Library and Community Centre until moving into their own building in September 2015.
From its inception, the church has developed good links with the six other local churches (Baptist, Independent, Methodist, two Anglican and Roman Catholic). As a member of the Four Oaks Churches Together, we meet regularly, engage in Christmas and Easter events and hold shared lunches, services and prayer meetings.
The church appointed a pastor in May 2013, and Stephen Eaves was ordained in September that year.
Ark is committed to supporting children, young people and families, and Sam Hughes is the Youth and Children's Leader.
As well as Stephen and Sam, the church has three elders who together form a leadership team.
Ark is a registered charity and all church activities are overseen by a group of seven trustees.
